Setting up M8 system
- Step 1- Connect a speaker cord to each speaker output on the back of the amp, above the speaker outputs you will see a label that indicates which speaker is left and which is right. The speaker outputs have bolts on them and are not to be confused with the amplifier inputs that are above the power switch.
- Step 2- Connect the other ends of the speaker cables to each speaker. There are two holes on the back of the speaker it does not matter which input you plug the speaker cords into so long as you only plug one cable into the speaker.
- Step 3- There is a volume for the entire mixer labeled Main that you want to turn up to 8. You then want to turn the levels on the other channels all to 0.
- Step 4- You can plug a mic into any of the four mic/line inputs. Your volume for the mic can then be adjusted by the level nob on the corresponding channel at the bottom of the mixer. If you are plugging a CD player or mp3 player into the system you will want to do that on the rca input channels labeled either 5/6 or 7/8 and your volume will correspond with both the level nob and your source mp3 or CD player.
- The inputs on the mic/line channels can take in either a 1/4 inch or xlr input.
- The dark blue knobs on the mixer are the eq knobs you will most likely want to being with all of those knobs straight down the middle.
- The gray knobs are the pan knobs straight down the middle.
- The baby blue knobs are the aux knobs and will not be used for most applications(can be used for monitor speaker or satelite speaker.)
- In the right hand corner of the mixer there is a place to plug in headphones if you desire to for your purpose. There is also the Aux output, and aux send and return, as well as an unpowered quarter inch main output and a record output.
