A: Here's what you need to create an account:
  • Current Drivers License or state-issued ID
  • Valid Credit or Debit card in your name
  • Contact information
  • We can find a way to work with you!

A: We require an individual with a state ID or Drivers License to take responsibility for equipment rented. Your organization can pay for the rental (see the next question for details). You are responsible to take care of the rental gear and see to it's return.

A: Yes. An organization or business can authorize their card for use on your rental account.


The cardholder will need to complete our Credit Card Authorization Form and enroll their card securely in our system.

If the organization is tax exempt, make sure to send in a completed Texas State Tax Exempt form.

A: Yes. You can put in a rental request in advance. We are fully stocked on our packages every week.

A: Yes. You can rent from us. If you live outside of our "Local Rental Area" a deposit based on the value of the gear may be required. We limit rentals from people who are from out of town to 5 days. We do all of our business in Austin, Texas and we do not ship gear!

A: Rock n Roll Rentals does not sell insurance, but we have partnered with InsureMyEquipment.com to provide insurance for rented equipment.

A: Yes, we do both! We have new and used pricing on all our gear. Come in and see us. If you have been renting a piece of equipment on a Monthly Contract, then let us know if you would like to buy it at a good depreciated price. We can even finance it! We offer in-house financing to our established monthly renters. With us, your good rental history is your credit!

A: Please allow extra time during pickup to ask questions. Our weekend rate allows pickup Tuesday–Thursday, giving you plenty of time to test equipment and contact us if needed. We are here to help (512)447-5305.

A: We do not offer music lessons or Rock Camps, but there are many great schools and teachers in Austin. We’re happy to help point you in the right direction.
